August 1, 2009. "Super fun stinky sandy day!"

*Laughs* Most of you will probably be afraid by the title, but don't worry I didn't touch the stink only smelled it....but I'll get to that part here in a sec :) Hope you all enjoy my day :D

Morning: Ok well in the morning after I woke up at our hotel I got a shower and I got dressed, and then I hung out front in the grassy area watching Isaiah roll down the hill with his water bottle...(Don't ask)
Annnd then, lets see...
After that we got into the car and we started driving towards the Oregon Sand Dunes Frontier, I think that was what it was called.

Afternoon: If I remember correctly, anyways that part was SO fun! :D But before we went riding on the dunes we went and had Subway for lunch, then we drove back and we got on the big dune bus that actually used to be a transport car for soldiers, I suspected as much when I saw the structure of it, it looked very familiar. Our tour guide was the BEST! He was SO funny! lol! I took tons of pictures today and a couple of video's but OH MY GOSH! The sand up here is SO much different from Humboldt County...its not grey....its a whitish color! Its like a very flush color of my skin almost, its so cool! The dunes were SOOO amazing! And so big too!
It was SO fun riding in that dune bus we went fast down hills and it was hilarious! I got scared so bad, unfortunately my mom got sick from the bumpy ride...our tour guide remarked after quite a good bounce; "Some people come here in the beginning of the summer before my shocks wear out..." Everyone laughed at that. :D
Our tour guide was the best like I said before :D He told us all sorts of neat stories, my dad actually went to where the dunes were with his parents when he was around 15 or so. He told me that his dad was riding up a sand hill on a dune buggy thing but he got stuck, dad didn't know so he followed him up and stopped too....
Bad move...
He got stuck to haha! And then one time he told me he parked it facing down the hill, another bad move, and it rolled down with out him! HAHA! Good times, good times I have to say :)
Anyways the dune bus ride was SO FUN! :D I had loads of fun, and I loved scaring myself so bad...haha. I can't believe how much fun I'm having on this vacation! :D

Early evening: After the dune buggy thing we drove too the Sea Lion caves!! THAT was cool...but stinky...haha, this is the stinky part lol!
I got a shirt that I'll take a picture of later, and the cutest sea horse necklace! The shirt has a seal on it I had to get something that had a seal on it, Dyllan got a polar bear that was around $30, and Isaiah got an annoying noisy sea lion stuffed animal....-_-
Ugh TORTURE I tell you!
Annnd we also got some fudge there too :) Anyways I'll get onto the fun part! All about the big sea lions! :)
There were 3 statues of sea lions, VERY cool. I posed on the big one unintentionally and Dyllan got the middle sized one, again unintentionally, and same with Isaiah except he was on the smallest one. It was funny lol...
I didn't realize it till mom said something, but WHOA it was lifesize and the biggest one was amazing! I took a picture of me and him together haha, I named all of the statues I saw on my trip so far :)
Anyways then we went over to the lookout thingy, and we saw the sea lions on the beach and boy were they making noise! Thankfully it wasn't that stinky yet, but when we went deep down into the caves..*gaggs* ugh I had to breath through my mouth it was so awful!
But hey it was worth it :)
And I didn't barf today! Go me!! lol
I figured out a solution I think; music. I just lip sink to my ipod songs and ta da! Problem solved! I think it was mostly mental and I made myself sick, so I knew I needed something to distract myself.

Evening: Ok after the sea lion caves we drove for about an hour towards New Port where I am now :) We got the coziest hotel ever! : D Its right in the view of the beach which is totally awesome! : D Unfortunately we really haven't gotten any sun at all :/
So the clouds were blocking the obviously gorgeous sunset! Hopefully it'll clear up, I still feel like I'm in humboldt dangit...>:( Honestly I think Eureka is warmer than here, burr is it cold! Nice harsh wind thats for sure, anyways after we checked in somewhat we drove to a cute restraunt called "Chalet bakery and restraunt" Basically a Marie Calanders like back home, but hey it was good : )
I got Spaghetti with parmasean, and 4 triangles of garlic bread.
Well, I have to go but I hope you enjoy my blog so far :D! Ta ta for now! Can't wait to see whats in store for me tomorrow....: )
